Karen was invited out to China for a two week trip incorporating both her skills of judging and coaching dance.

Fibresure
It is confirmed that Fibresure - a natural fibre supplement - as show sponsors of 'Diet on the' Dancefloor will also be sponsoring Karen. Karen will be endorsing the product in both the press and on the packaging itself, sold in all major chemists and supermarkets.
Through the Keyhole
Karen was the celebrity mystery guest on Sir David Frosts' "Through the Keyhole", allowing cameras inside her home to the be identified by a panel, including her ex Strictly dance partner, Bill Turnbull.

Dance Championships
Karen attended the 2008 Blackpool International Dance Festival
Never Forget!
Karen was invited to walk the red carpet along with the three finalists from "Diet on the Dancefloor" to the Gala Evening of the new Take That musical "Never Forget". This was part of the final week of Living TV's show, leading up to the three finalists battling it out to see who will be 2008's Champion.
In the Pink
Karen was invited to support A Night Of Tease - a burlesque night organised by breast cancer charity The Pink Ribbon Foundation and In The Pink magazine held at Cafe de Paris, along with Kelly Osborne, Caprice and Rick Parfitt Jnr.
Marie Curie's Brain Game
Karen, along with fellow celebrity supportes of Marie Curie Cancer Care Bill Turnbull, John Altman, David Gower, Neil and Christine Hamilton and Tony Christie supported the Charity's Brain Game fundraising evening, raising over £40,000 for the cause.

All England Latin Championships 2008
Karen was an adjudicator at the All England Latin Championships, held in Thurrock, Essex.
ANZAC Day Photoshoot
Karen took part in a photoshoot to promote the ANZAC Tea Dances across the UK to raise money for the Royal British Legion. Karen posed for photos alongside one of the Chelsea Pensioners at Chelsea Royal Hospital.

SCAT Charity Event
In the evening Karen hosted the SCAT, The Bone Cancer Trust’s event, drew the raffle and performed a dance showcase at The Grove, Hertfordshire raising £16,000.
BBC Breakfast News
Early morning Karen was interviewed alongside Nicholas Parsons on BBC Breakfast News about Brucie’s 80th Birthday Party and his involvement in Strictly Come Dancing.
Brucie’s 80th Birthday Party
Karen and her husband Conrad were guests at a star packed 80th Birthday party for Bruce Forsythat The Dorchester, London. They celebrated the evening alongside legends such as Dame Shirley Bassey, Ronnie Corbett, Michael Grade, Natasha Kaplinsky, Tess Daly and Vernon Kay.
Make-A-Wish Valentines Charity Ball
Karen and her dancers presented a new showcase of Latin and Ballroom dances at the the Make-A-Wish Valentines Ball held at The Dorchester, London which raised over £135,000.
British Asian Sports Awards
Karen presented the Coach of The Year Award at the Sony British Asian Sports Awards (BASA) that she attended with Mark Ramprakash at the Hilton Park Lane, London.
Brucie’s 80th Birthday Party BBC Show
Karen rehearsed and filmed for the BBC’s celebration showcase “Brucie’s 80th Birthday Party” programme which aired on 24th February 2008.
Carl Alan Awards
Lionel Blair hosted the Oscar’s of the dance world held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London and as a previous winner Karen presented the prestigious Carl Alan Teaching Award to Gilly Harris for Freestyle, Judith Thompson for Theatre and Alan & Joan Merrill for Ballroom & Latin.
